Christian Women Should Dress In line with Bible teachings

The Head Pastor of the True Faith Church at Nkawkaw-Ghana has advised Christian women to adorn themselves in well-arranged dresses, with modesty and soundness of mind, not revealing sensitive parts of their body to the world "for such has been the life of faithful women who followed Christ and the Apostles".

Quoting from the first book of 1Timothy 2:9 and 1Peter 3:3-5, he admonished Christians not to follow the blind behaviour of the world in which people live carefree lives without any sense of self examination.

He said the current situation in which Christian women dress to expose sensitive parts of their body that have to be seen only by their husbands go against the true teachings of the Bible. He said such practices are the cause of the high level of immorality seen in the world and in some Churches today.

He declared that "there must be a clear distinction between Christians and the world in the way we dress, in the way we talk, and in the way we do things" and added that "We must do all things to please the LORD not the world". He said "women who dress in modest apparel as advised in the Bible are of great value in the sight of the LORD... Such women will inherit the Kingdom of God " and added that "For so, too, formerly the holy women who were hoping in God used to adorn themselves".

Immorality is sinking The World says True Faith Pastor

The head pastor of True Faith Church in Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana, Pastor Samuel Amoako has said the whole world is sinking under the weight of immorality and that the judgement of God is at hand for those who engage in immoral activities. He said the spate of infidelity among married couples, homosexualism, pornography, alcohol and drug abuse seen throughout the world is a sign of the decadence of our society and warned people to change their behaviour and accept Christ before they face the wrath of God. He said throughout history God has punished disobedient people who follow sexual and other pleasures against doing the will of God.

He emphasized that if the people of the world continue with the direction they have taken there is no doubt that God's wrath will be poured against them. He advised Christians and all true worshipers of God to eschew all behaviours and manners that put the name of Christianity and the ministry of Jesus into disrepute.

He says God will reward all those who adhere to the teachings of Christ including those who abstain from fornication, lies, adultery, idolatry, alcoholism, fits of anger, enmities, divisions, sects, envies, jealousy, practice of spiritism and other loose conducts.

Quoting from the book of Galatians 5:19-23 he encouraged Christians and true worshipers of Jehovah to embrace love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness and exercise self control and put on the armour of God (prayer, fasting, faith, study of the gospel,) in order to withstand the snares of Satan which he says is sinking the world and inviting the wrath of God upon mankind.

True Faith Church buries General Overseer

Apostle John Owusu Achiaw, Acting General Overseer of the True Faith Church, Ghana has called on Christians not to abandon their churches when the leader of a mission dies. He said the death of a church leader should not lead to confusion and disunity among the congregation. Apostle Owusu Achiaw made the call at the burial service of Apostle John Ampadu, founder of the church at Kwahu Praso in the Eastern Region. Apostle Ampadu who was the third General Overseer of the Church died on July 13. He joined the True Faith Church in 1948 from the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. Through hard work, he was ordained pastor in 1952 and appointed General Overseer in 1967. Apostle Owusu Achiaw described Apostle Ampadu as a man whose contribution had made the church what it is today. He said during his term of office, he established more parishes in and outside the country, adding that "he was very humble and obedient unto all, irrespective of age or status". Apostle Owusu Achiaw appealed to members of the church to follow the footsteps of Apostle Ampadu for the able leadership role he played in shaping the destiny of the church. Nana Yeboah Afari Boagyan II, Obohene (Chief of Obo) also commended the late Apostle Ampadu for establishing unity and oneness among the members of the church. The Head of the True Faith Church at Oforikrom-Kumasi, Ghana has warned Christians that the various machination used by Satan to entice Christians require that they put on the armour of God to resist Satan and his plans. He said the increase proliferation of pornography, the glamourisation of sex and other sinful acts such alcoholism, fornication, adultery, smoking, drug abuse especially on TV, internet and the electronic and print media attest to the fact that we are in the last days. "We are in the age where sex is openly advertised in front of children, where immorality is not only condoned but encouraged by society". He warned that God will surely punish those who indulge in such acts.

He said "society is being told that people can do anything that they want but that is not true, every human action has its consequence and God will ensure that we all account for our behaviours in the day of judgement". "It is important we send a clear message to the world that no sin has gone unpunished in the history of mankind and that God will surely punish all unjust people including those who make, sell and use pornography materials".

He said Christians who are able to withstand these sexual pleasures and these sins will be saved.

He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house:he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.....Psalms 101:7

Saul had a terrible character flaw, that of deceit...Even when he was face to face with Samuel the prophet, Saul lied when he should have repented! (See 1Samuel 15:15-24..)...Saul represents that part of all of us that must be overthrown. We must renounce deceit if we're to go beyond the superficial and fulfill our destiny in the supernatural. There must be an open confession that enables God's grace to be allocated to meet our need.

There is a gradual transference of authority as we walk with God. We move from the Saul-like rule of superficial religion to a Davidic anointing based on honesty and transparency.

Our God knows the process it will take for Christ to be formed in us. He's taking each of us to that place where the child begins to bear a greater resemblance to his father. Be assured that this only occurs at the end of travailing prayer and openness of heart, as we confess and forsake every trace of Saul's rule in our lives.I pray that today you'll open up to God in confession and prayer so that He'll help you overthrow the nature of Saul in your life and help to move and enjoy in the Davidic anointing in Jesus Name, Amen!

Avoid the fantasies of this world- says True Faith Pastor

In a very remarkable fashion the Head Pastor of True Faith Church at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana has advised true Christians to shun the fantasies of this world and focus seriously in doing things that matter to Christ. He said Satan is polishing sin and using movies, adverts, internets and many avenues to lure Christians into doing things that go contrary to the teachings of Christ and the Holy Bible.

He says it is common for Christians to watch ponography materials, engage in alcohol and other substance abuse and still consider themselves to be Christians. Quoting from Ephesians 5:3-5 and Galatians 6:7 -8 he said such practices are not in line with the true teaching of Christ and the Bible and advised Christians to desist from it as those are things that invite the wrath of God upon man. He advised Christians to make prayer a daily routine and study the Bible always as they are the two most important things that can help Christians to fight the temptations in this world.

He delivered the sermon during Sabbath worship in Sunyani.

Which Side of the LORD will you be when He comes? Left or Right?

When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory.

All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

Only one in 20 Brits can list all Ten Commandments and 16% cannot name any, a damning study of modern-day knowledge of the Bible has found.

The majority of youths quizzed ruled the Christian tome old fashioned

Young people are especially bad at reciting stories from the Good Book, the Durham University survey of 900 believers and non-believers learned.

Half of under 45s failed to accurately recount information about Samson and Delilah, while a third were clueless when quizzed about the Feeding of the 5,000.

But the survey, funded by a consortium of national churches, charitable trusts and Bible agencies, also found few among the young troubled by their ignorance.

The majority ruled the Christian tome old fashioned, irrelevant and "for people like (the church-going EastEnders' character) Dot Cotton", the research found.

The National Biblical Literacy Survey 2009 also revealed that 40% did not know that the tradition of giving Christmas gifts came from the story of the Wise Men bringing gold, frankincense and myrrh to the baby Jesus.

One respondent said David and Goliath was the name of a ship while another thought Daniel - who survived being thrown into the lions' den - was The Lion King.

Despite the success of the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, more than half (57%) of those polled knew nothing about Joseph and his brothers.

The researchers say their findings show public figures can no longer make assumptions about people's knowledge of Christianity.

The Reverend Brian Brown of St John's College, Durham University, said: "The Church and political leaders should take serious note of the findings and recognise that we can not make the assumptions we used to make about the Bible and its place in contemporary people's lives and culture."

The initial findings formed part of the evidence behind the Methodist Church's decision to designate 2011 as the Year of the Bible.

Living Holy Lives in This Crucial End Time

The Head Pastor of True Faith Curch In Koforidua Pastor Samuel Amoako has adviced Christians to strive to live godly lives in this crucial age of sin, temptations, deceit and vanity. He said the signs of the world coming to an end is written everywhere and is available for all to see.

He adviced Christians to be vigilant since the enemy of light it working every daynon stop to win as many souls he could. He entreated Christians to therefore be watchful and prayerful since they are the only weapons that can help Christains to live holy lives. He adviced that instead of Christians being preoccupied by things of this world which only last with limited time, they should put their treasures in things that matter to God. H e says Christians should endervour to live for Christ instead of living for themselves.

Saturday Sabbath is the True Sabbath

The Seventh-day Sabbath is the day of rest designed for fallen and sinful human beings. Our Creator hallowed and blesseth this special day simply to remind us not to forget to remember that this is the day He had set aside to commemorate His works of creation for 6 days long and the seventh-day is the day to rest from our daily routines by remembering and appreciate His wonderful creations particularly creation of man (human being).

Therefore, we should remember that by observing the Sabbath day (Sabado dias) is not a prerequisite to salvation. But by observing Sabbath day that does not mean we will have the assurance of salvation. Our assurance of salvation is very simple and only by confessing our iniquities, wrong doings, and accepting Christ who atoned our sins (He is the Lord of Sabbath; Sabbath day is for man not man for the Sabbath day ). Thus if someone observes Sabbath day as the day of worship and to having special relationship with Him it simply means he loves His Savior and not observing Sabbath day in order to be saved. May our good Lord will provide the wisdom, cognitive comprehension, and enlightment to have a comprehensive views about The Seventh-day Sabbath ( by not arguing about Saturday or Sunday though historically it had been proved beyond doubt that The Sabbath day is on Saturday).

The most important aspect of the Seventh-day is not a ceremonial or ritual worship procedure but is the day to have special and meaningful relationship with Him that we will have the change of our character to become Christ-like character; because the religious life does not have the power to change our character but the spiritual life we have with Christ who enables each of us to live emphatically toward our fellow human beings regardless of ethnicity, socio-economic status, gender, color of the skin, handicaps, etc.

Avoid drunkenness says True Faith Pastor

Reverend Emmanuel Boamah, Area Pastor of the Truth Faith Church, has called on drivers to avoid drunkenness and speeding to save lives and property.

He said the recent high spate of road accidents were causing a lot of pain and agony to families and urged all drivers to be responsible for the safety of passengers.

Pastor Boamah made the call at the end of a three-day prayer festival of the Church at Kwabenya in Accra on Saturday.

It was aimed at praying for God's intercession to stem the spate of accidents which had of late claimed many lives.

Pastor Boamah called on churches and other religious organizations to join the road safety crusade to minimize road accidents in the country.

He advised the youth to desist from anti-social activities such as alcoholism, drug abuse and the “get-rich attitude”.

Pastor Elijah Osafo Obeng, Head of the Taifa Branch of the Church advised religious leaders to preach the true word of God and not to mislead the congregation for their selfish gains.

Pastor Warns Christians Against Vanity

Prophet Jonas Ahiakwa deputy National head prophet of the True Faith Church of Ghana (TFCG) has warned Ghanaian pastors to desist from worldly amusements, and rather seek the spiritual development of the flock entrusted to them since worldly gains are not requirements to heaven.

According to him, many pastors have stopped preaching the truth and righteousness to their flock because of the fear of losing worldly gains, even though gain is not the key to catapult the flock to heaven, he told THE SUN in an exclusive interview at Ofankor a suburb of Accra last Saturday.

Expressing his concern about what he called as an unfortunate development, prophet Ahiakwa said it would rather be good for people to stay away from the Church, than to claim that they were devoted Christians only to turn round to commit grave sins that need not be mentioned in the house of God.

“Some pastors and Christians are making a mockery of the Lord because of their life-styles and the almost criminal dressing we are all witness in the streets which go without any checks,” he complained.

He said if pastors and Christians would brood over accountability on Judgment day, people would stop misbehaving and live a decent life for peace to prevail in society.

Prophet Ahiakwa said, he was alarmed about the attitude of some Christians who go to church alright on Sundays, and on Monday rush to clinics to commit abortions or defraud fellow humans.

He said some people have rushed into the work of God for personal gains without taking into account the responsibilities that God expects from them.

“What is expected from a steward is that he remains accountable and dedicated. However that great expectation is seriously missing in many pastors’ lives today,” prophet Ahiakwa told THE SUN.

Prophet Ahiakwa appealed to politicians to desist from reckless pronouncements that have the tendency to inflame passions and chaos in the country. “If Ghana is set ablaze because of somebody’s careless political pronouncements it would result in chaos of immeasurable proportions of national magnitude”, he added. He warned politicians who want to use tribal politics to grab power to refrain from such ways. “Since God has already chosen a man of his own heart to lead this country, no amount of ethnic and reckless statements can help one to change the plan of God,” he pointed out.

Claudia Davies, a nurse at Grady Memorial Hospital in Georgia, USA who visited the church lauded it for maintaining sound teachings that could uplift the spiritual development of the flock. She promised to help push the development agenda of the church so as to benefit a wider section of society. The True Faith of Church Ghana is the first spiritual church in Ghana and was established in 1914. However due to its rural placement, it seems much has not been heard of its activities in the country.
